ABOUT THE BIG GIVE
Our mission
The Big Give is a free Christmas lunch for 500 disadvantaged and
isolated Melburnians to be held on December 25 at Melbourne Park.
Founded by a group of individuals
from community organisations and the business sector, The Big Give has
just one Christmas wish – that no Australian should be alone
on Christmas Day.
In making this wish come true, we
believe we can help the community rediscover the true spirit of
Christmas, and re-establish it as a time that unites people from all
walks of life, rather than the divisive celebration of excess and
indulgence it has become.
Bringing business, community
groups, the “haves” and “have
nots” together, to share and give as one, that’s
what Christmas should be about – and can be –
through The Big Give.
